It easily drove close to walls without crashing into them and even managed to cross thresholds that were raised in the room without issue, though it occasionally had trouble navigating down the stairs in one move. The S1 performed well in cleaning hard floors. Its mop moved smoothly on its flat side and swung up when it was near carpets or rugs.

The S1's docking station automatically empties its trash bin and fills its water tank on board with clean, ozonated water before every mopping session. The dock provides a deep-cleaning solution to the water. The S1's tank of water holds enough water for about 12 cleaning sessions before it has to be cleaned, although this can vary based on how often you use the mop.

The S1 requires regular maintenance, just like other 2-in-1 robots. For this, you'll need to wash the dirty water tank occasionally to prevent it from clogging. You'll also need to clean the swivel wheel and sensors regularly to keep them from getting clogged by dirt or dust. Overall the S1 is simple to maintain, especially compared to other combos that require more hands-on maintenance.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

Ecovacs all-in-one robot vacuum and mop is a powerful solution for cleaning. Its robot vacuum has 8700Pa suction power, and comes with a variety of advanced features like voice control and smart path planning that cleans furniture and eliminates obstacles. The mops are also cleaned using heated water and dried in the basestation whenever required. Mops can also be filled at the top of the station when required.

It has fantastic cleaning results, and it is easy to maintain. This makes it a top contender on our list of the best mops and robot vacuums. The X40 Ultra vacuums well, removing both fine and large debris. It works equally well on carpets and hard floors.
